New look classroom

28 January 2003

8th anniversary sees updated functionality enhancing learning experience

KnowledgePool, the worldwide learning provider specialising in business applications, IT and business skills training has launched its’ new-look online classroom. The service now includes functions such as multi-window viewing; on- screen notepad and private chat with tutors, together with the opportunity for users to personalise the interface delivering a more effective learning experience.

Alan Sweeney, KnowledgePool’s online learning manager explains,

"The new classroom offers a much easier layout to use, along with improved navigation and search facilities. I am very enthusiastic about the private chat feature which has lots of possibilities, including enabling learners to discuss their own progress with mentors on a one-to-one basis in real-time, as well as allowing specific question- answer sessions to be developed with one tutor while another continues with an online seminar. Learners who don’t always want their communication with our mentors to be part of a public forum will see the difference immediately."

Alan Sweeney, Online Learning Manager

KnowledgePool’s online learning service has been operating since 1995 and during that time over 2 million students have taken advantage of the innovative service which includes 24x7 live mentoring by accredited online tutors. Users range from individuals based in far reaching continents such as the Antarctic to corporate licence holders in the US.

The service can be customised to encompass the corporate identity of enterprise clients and in-house subject matter experts can be trained and equipped with the necessary skills to provide online mentoring within their own organisation.
